I have been playing drums professionally for over 38years.

During that time, I have played just about every style of music.

I have national and international touring experience with both Chuck Leavell and Curtis Mayfield.  While with Curtis, I did 6 European tours including the Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland, Expo'90 in Japan, and extensive touring within the US.  In addition, I participated in "live" TV and radio broadcasts as well as video taping.

The European tours with Curtis Mayfield culminated in an album "Live in Europe" (Curtom Records,1988) which was recorded at the Montreux Jazz Festival in July of 1987.  I also was a member of Curtis' band during the taping of 2 videos, "Live at Ronnie Scott's" (Curtom, 1988), and "Do Be Down" (Curtom, 1990).

During this period , I also appeared with Philly R&B artist Billy Paul on the album "Wide Open" (Ichiban Records, 1988).

In the early 90's I was the drummer for a Cajun flavored group called "The Crawdads".  This group had 2 independently produced albums : "The First Cheap cassette" (1994), and "Swamp Songs and Blackwater Voodoo" (1995).

In 1997 I worked on a project with noted Atlanta bluesman Bill Sheffield and vocalist Liane Webb.  The album "Real Time" (Hot Trax, 1997) came out of these recording sessions.

In 1999 I worked with Bill Sheffield again in the group "The Ringtail Rounders".  We played locally and put out an independent album "Penny Candy" (2000).

Currently I am working  and recording with several Atlanta groups covering quite a wide variety of musical styles.  They include:  "The Electromatics" (blues, jazz and R&B , wwwelectromatics.net ), " Bob Page" (blues and rag time blues), "T-bone Smith" (organ trio jazz, blues, and funk) and "Bo Weevil" (country blues and folk music).  I did the drum tracks on Bo Weevil's CD "Come From Here" (2003).  I have also appeared on the local TV show "Take the Risk" (rock music).   I played drums on the tittle track of the latest gospel album by " Clarence Fountain & the Five Blind Boys of Alabama" entittled "I'm Not That Way Anymore" (Air Gospel 2004).  And most recently I did drum tracks for the "Acker Bros." CD (jazz rock fusion) entitled "If That, Then This" (Modern Artists Records 2007), and for the latest "Acker Bros." CD  "Wigged Out" ( Modern Artists Records 2008).  I am a PRO-MARK drumsticks endorser and have been teaching drum techniques for many years.
